Rent a Car

Car rental in San Marino is an option for the laziest: compact walled cities are located within walking distance from each other, but you have to walk along the winding up and down paths of Monte Titano. Drivers also have time to appreciate all the “charms” of mountain roads: sudden sharp turns, ups and downs make you constantly be on the alert.

The central streets of the Sanmarine castelli are pedestrian, so the iron horse will often stand idle. Fortunately, there are many parking lots: free ones are marked with white markings and are almost always overcrowded, paid ones (1.50 EUR per hour, 8 EUR per day) are equipped in close proximity to attractions. Most tourists leave their cars in the parking lot at the foot of Monte Titano, but you can park in other parts of the city.

The cost of renting a compact car is from 35-45 EUR, an SUV – from 100 EUR per day.

There are several car rental offices in the capital, such as Autonoleggio Ippo or Automax. To rent, you will need an international driver’s license and a credit card, the age of the driver is at least 21-23 years old.
